Our Summer Herbs are chosen for suitability across a variety of summer climates in Australia. They're all organic, heirloom open pollinated species. This summer they include
Thai Basil
Gorgeous purple stems and purple-veined leaves, set against a deep green leaf - Thai Basil is grown not only for its delicious anise and liquorice like flavour, but also as an ornamental specimen. High in vitamins K, A and C, beta-carotene, magnesium, calcium, iron, and potassium.
Sage
Dubbed the "Holy Herb" by the ancient Romans. sage is an attractive herb with with woody stems, greyish leaves, and blue to purplish flowers. Considered by the British to be one of four "essential herbs". Savoury and peppery.
Oregano
Super aromatic, antioxidant packed member of the mint family. Also classified as an essential oil! Used both medicinally and in cooking for thousands of years. Great fresh, dried or infused into oil.
Dill
Delicate and dainty, but packs a flavour punch. A personal favourite. A bright sweet flavour reminiscent of celery, anise and and parsley. Thought to protect agaInst witchcraft n the middle ages!
